Hello Parents, Guardians, and Students!
Dear Families,
Welcome to another great year at Shabazz Academy! I am very excited to be your child's fifth grade teacher. This is my first year at Shabazz Academy and I look forward to getting to know your family and being a part of the Shabazz community. I am originally from Niles, MI. I graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in elementary education. I am truly happy to call Lansing my new home!
I hope your summer was a restful one and full of exciting memories. This year promises to be an exciting one for all of us as we venture into an atmosphere of learning. We will be growing daily so remember to question your child about what we do in school.
I am sure that you will agree that attendance is very important to you child's success here at El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz Public School Academy. It is very important that your child comes to school on time everyday. Education is an ongoing process and absences and tardiness disrupts learning.
