Mr. Svehla's 4th Grade Class

Dear Parents and Guardians of El Shabazz Academy,

I wanted to take this time to introduce myself to you and give you information that you and your child will need for the upcoming school year. I am one of the fourth grade teachers at El Shabazz Academy. For the last twelve years, I have taught the fourth, fifth, and sixth grades in Omaha, Nebraska. During this time, I have also coached girls' and boys' basketball teams through several winning seasons and tournaments. In addition, I spent a lot of time mentoring new teachers, designing curriculum, organizing school-community events, and tutoring students.

I am very excited for this opportunity to teach your child, and I am looking forward to working with you and Dr. Cain. In all my years of teaching, I have never met anyone so committed to the students as the administration, staff, or faculty at El Shabazz!
